Directions from Pisa
FOLLOW GREEN AUTOSTRADA SIGNS OUT OF AIRPORT AND JOIN AUTOSTRADA HEADING TOWARDS GENOA/PARMA
- Follow A12 past exit for Sarzana
- Take A15 Motorway exit towards Parma , this goes East to Parma,
- after about 9 kms towards Parma, take the Aulla Exit .
- Having gone through pay toll, and crossed a river bridge, you come to a t- junction, turn right towards town centre at the first one way junction, waterfall on a roundabout, you turn left and then immediately right ,you are on the Via Nazionale, stay on this road ,and you will pass through the old town centre, there is a parking on the right in Main square, about 150 metres after this small square (Piazza Mazzini) there is left turn off this road, towards Fivizzano ( State road di Cerreto 63)
- (alternatively turn left at waterfall roundabout, then left at t junction , right at next t junction, then follow road up hill past Stil Edil then right at junction. Follow this road which is two lanes then becomes one lane (this road goes past the train station on return journey) , turn left at roundabout towards Fivizzano.
- Continue following road towards Fivizzano , you will cross two unused railway tracks, on this road you will pass through villages of Pallerone and Serriciola, and on through a village called Rometta
- about 3 kms from Rometta , there is a sign to Lucca and Gragnola off to the right,
- then follow the road going along the very new main road by-passing Gassano
- past the turning to Gragnola, continue through the next village called La Casette
- and then after about 4 kms as you enter Codiponte ,turn right over the first bridge..
- Fork right up the hill out of the village.
- Sharp right then sharp left bends.
- Pass all electrical lines on right and last house on left.
- Continue up hill and then turn right where you see a big pine tree on right side of road
- Down hill with a bumpy drive to house!
